Memoirs of a large animal veterinarian who practiced in Wisconsin and Illinois. The chapters are separate short stories consisting of farm visits to treat sick animals interspersed with personal family life events of a Jewish family in rural Wisconsin.
The author is a retired veterinarian who practiced food animal medicine for 36 years and taught part-time at UW-Platteville in the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture.
